Hello Vintage Families! We hope you had a great week! We are looking forward to another awesome Sunday of having fun while learning and worshipping our Lord! The elementary kids will be having a Remember and Celebrate Sunday! These review and worship Sundays are spread throughout the year so we can take time to review what we have been learning in VCK as well as take time to celebrate what the Lord has been doing in this season of life. This Remember and Celebrate Sunday is connected to the Festival of First Fruits! We are so excited to share this teaching with the kiddos this Sunday. This week, the preschool kids will be learning the awesome Bible story about when Jesus calmed the storm because "Jesus is God!" The kids will get to make some "lakes-in-a-bag" using ziplock bags, hair gel, blue food coloring and fish stickers. We had an incredible time during our 5th-6th...

Hello Vintage Families! Happy New Year! We are so thankful for what the Lord has done this past year and are incredibly excited for what the Lord has in store for Vintage City Kids in 2015! And to kick the new year off right, the elementary kids will be focusing on worship this Sunday. We will be looking at King David and how, "God's Presence Inspires Our Worship." King David was an incredible leader for the Israelites and one of his greatest strengths was his heart of worship for the Lord! We will have an entirely new worship set to engage the kids into a place of worship and adoration for our Savior. The pre-k kiddos will be learning the Bible story of Jesus calling the apostles.  The kids will have a great time learning that "Jesus Chooses Us to Follow Him" by enjoying some Swedish fish as a snack and playing two fish-related...

Hello Vintage Families! Brittany and I wanted to express our thankfulness to you all for making the Vintage Family Christmas Eve Service such a wonderful night of celebration, praise and laughter. We are so honored to be your pastors and look forward to another wonderful year in 2015 with our church family. Remember: There will be no Vintage Gatherings tomorrow. Have a wonderful day to enjoy some down time from this busy holiday season and we will see you back at Fossil Ridge High School on January 4th! As we head into the New Year, I wanted to share this passage from Lamentations with you that reminds us of God's faithfulness and the freshness of His mercy! Be blessed, we love you! Brett & Brittany 22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!     His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness;     his mercies begin afresh each morning. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;     therefore, I will hope in him!” -Lamentations 3:22-24 [subscribe2]...

Hello Vintage Families, We will be covering the Christmas message throughout the month of December. To begin, we will take this Sunday to teach the kids that Jesus was promised (through prophecy) and anxiously hoped for by looking at Jeremiah’s prophecy in Jeremiah 23:5-6. Who better to teach the kids this wonderful story than our favorite grey-haired man, Grandpa Woodrow? The preschool kiddos will be learning that "God Keeps His Promises" through the story of the Angel with Mary and Joseph. The kids will have so much fun getting excited about the birth of our Savior! To help reinforce the Bible Story, the little one's will get to eat some "angel" food cake and make angel ornaments! We had a really fun Sunday last week with the 5th-6th Grade Student Leaders eating some cereal and enjoying the cold weather. This Sunday, we will talking with our leaders about being a "Clique Buster" -...

Hello Vintage Families, We hope you had a great week and your kids are waking up from their Halloween sugar comas. :) This Sunday at Vintage City Kids, we are so excited to teach the elementary kids about the building of the Tabernacle and how it has always been God's desire to dwell with us. We have a really fun Sunday planned as we are going to build our own homemade "fort style" tabernacle in kids church. It was an incredible Sunday last week as the kids were able to respond to the Bible Story by the taking of bread and cup. It was such a joy to get to see them partake in the elements with such faith and gratefulness to Jesus. It is so encouraging to see that the hearts of these kids are set on worshipping the Lord! The preschool kiddos will be learning again that "God is Worshipped!" The kids will...

Hello Vintage Families, We hope you are having a great week and ready for a great Sunday! This Sunday at Vintage City Kids, we are continuing to learn about the Israelites in Exodus 24 and this week, we will be learning about how God Initiates Relationship! We have a very cool object lesson planned for the elementary kiddos to help illustrate how God Initiates Relationship. In our Bible Story, the Israelites responded to God by making animal sacrifices and agreeing to this covenant and relationship. Because of Jesus, we have a new way to respond to God initiating relationship with us through bread and cup, responding to God by remembering the sacrifice of his son Jesus and the new covenant we have with Him. We will be taking bread and cup with the elementary kids this Sunday. We are so excited to be able to share in this response, this act of worship with the kids...

Hello Vintage Families, We hope you had a great week and are ready for an awesome weekend! This Sunday at Vintage City Kids, Detective Swift, Swift Justice will be coming to kids church to talk to the elementary kids about the Ten Commandments. Detective Swift is a stickler for the rules - who better to teach the kids about the Ten Commandments? The pre-k kiddos (4's-5's, 2's-3's, Toddler Nursery) will be learning that "God Speaks to Us" through the story of when God spoke to Samuel. This is the same story that they learned last week. This repetition of Bibles stories and Godly themes is intentional and designed to solidify key foundational truths into the hearts of these little ones! The bubbles and bubble wrap were such a hit last week - they will be back this Sunday along with a fun new game that helps the kids understand that God still speaks to us! Student...

Hello Vintage Families, We hope you have had a wonderful week and are ready for a great day of worship together tomorrow morning! This Sunday at Vintage City Kids, Grandpa Woodrow will be teaching the elementary kids that, "God Knows Just What We Need" and telling the story of when the Israelites wandered in the desert hungry and thirsty. This is Grandpa Woodrow's first time at kid's church, but most of us are familiar with his sweetheart of a wife, Granny Fanny! This old-timer has a lot of wisdom and experience to share and is one amazing storyteller! The pre-k kiddos (4's-5's, 2's-3's, Toddler Nursery) will be learning that "God Speaks to Us" through the story of when God spoke to Samuel. They will learn this in a fun and interactive way that includes bubble-wrap, noodle necklaces, snack time, puppets and more! How amazing is it that the youngest of our kids at Vintage will be learning that...
