And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Acts 20:35 This last Sunday was "Kingdom Mischief Night" and it was a huge success! I am so proud of all you for diving in head first and serving the city around you. With the food you brought, and the money that was donated, we were able to bless over 60 families in need with groceries and love. So thank you for coming out and serving your city! We all love getting gifts and celebrating Christmas or our birthdays, but in my opinion, it is far more fun to give to those in need. It's a completely different feeling on the inside when you give, versus when you receive a gift. They both feel good, but...

1 John 5:4-5 (MSG) “Every God-begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.” It's hard to live as the overcomer you were made to be when your Christianity is over-complicated.  Pastor Keenan Clark challenged us this last Sunday, to stop making our Christianity about what we do or don't do. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." A common verse, about an uncommon love. Most people have never truly grasped the reality of what this verse means or the weight that it carries. They have seen this verse but they don't quite understand that God went to truly radical lengths to retrieve us back from the grip of death. I want you all to understand this, God loves us so much that he gave up his most valuable possession, His Son, as a ransom for our souls. You see Jesus was severely beaten and tortured, ridiculed and mocked, despised and reviled. Jesus took upon himself the judgment and punishment that we deserved, so we could get what He deserved. Friends, according to Romans 6:23, the wage of sin is death. That is what we...
