We have had an incredible time over the past two weeks at NEXT discovering what it means to walk in God's acceptance and grace. It has really transformed how I see myself in front of Him. If you recall in my lovely white board drawing two week ago, that this idea of climbing the "checklist of steps" to get closer to God is so bogus! Remember your are seated with Him! On his chair. Next to Jesus himself and he wants to lead you through life's journey. Ephesians 2v6 6For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. Last Sunday took us a bit deeper as we uncovered a deeper understanding of God's grace for us through the lens of the man in the story of the adulterous woman. One of the key things to remember is that the...

This past Sunday night as we were reading through Ephesians 2v4-7 we dealt with receiving God's grace and gifts. Not earning them as the world says we need to, but letting it be an actual gift! I'd like to take a few minutes to dive into that a bit more...

This past Sunday we identified some of the schemes of the devil. It is good for us to acknowledge when they are present in our life and stop trying out whit him and let Jesus take the battle (because his is always victorious!). When we surrender to Christ, we align with him and are filled with hope, joy and love. These characteristics oppose what the devil wants for you. He want's you to live in defeat, sadness and fear. Align with Him Today PSALM 45:7 “You love justice and hate evil. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else” When we align ourselves with God’s heart and what He stands for, we are going to be filled with joy. Our God is righteous and hates what unrighteousness does to people. Our Father in Heaven is our protector, our guide, and our savior. He...

Ephesians 1v17-18 "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints," Wisdom and revelation are not the product of our efforts to collect or memorize data about God, but rather, they are the fruit of relationship with Him. It is God in us that produces both the desire and the ability to do what pleases Him (PHIL. 2:13). Observe the language Paul uses to describe the spiritual landscape revealed by wisdom and revelation: “What is the hope . . . what are the riches . . . and what is the immeasurable greatness” (vv.18-19)? Wisdom and revelation implant truth in our hearts, which then births...
