DIY Solar Mason Jar Night

Unknown Unknown-2 Unknown-1

We had such a fun time crafting our mason jar lights! Thanks to all who came out and I hope you smile every time you see your light shine. For those of you who couldn’t make it, they are super easy to replicate. Just let me know if you’d like a quick tutorial.

Summer Park Date | July 10, 9 am | Spring Canyon Park

Meet me at the park on Friday at 9 am. We’ll gather near the splash park, at Spring Canyon Park, (take Horsetooth all the way west until you run into the park). Bring your stuff for the water park, sunscreen and snacks. Kiddos, young and old, are welcome. The park is huge, with lots of areas to play. We’ll wrap things up around lunch time. Come and go as your schedule allows.

Are you living out your word?

At our last Christmas party, I shared how my sweet sister, Cheryl,  challenges me every year to pick a word for the year. It’s been a tradition that we’ve done for the past 2 years. She always calls me aound the middle of  January to see what I’ve picked. This year I knew, before New Year’s, what I was going with: JOY. My past words were love and no excuses, and it’s been such an amazing blessing to look back throughout the years and see how well I’ve lived into those things. My challenge to those who were at the Christmas gathering, was to prayerfully pick your word and let someone know, so they could hold you accountable. I’m wondering, how you are doing living out your word? Here we are, halfway into 2015, and it’s a great idea to reevaluate where we’re at. As I write, I’m reminded of my “joy.” I’m finding in the busyiness of summer, vacationing, staying up later, sleeping in, and having a much more flexible schedule, I’m not really seeing things through a joy-filled lense. I’ve become a bit numb to the many blessings I’m gifted with, I’ve fallen into a slump that is a bit, well, “blah.” The Lord showed me today that I’m a bit blue. I’ve lost my joy!

Psalms 66: 1-4    Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the        world how glorious he is. Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your      mighty power. Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.”

God is good! All the time! He gives us so much to be joyful about. Take a moment right now, and ask Him to help you see the good gifts He’s given you. Let your to-do lists go. The laundry can wait. Dinner can be 5 minutes late….Close your eyes, breathe in His Presence, clear your mind. Think back over the last 6 months or so, and thank Him for your many blessings: your health, your family, your job, your life and even your JOY! Tell the world how glorious He is!

Be blessed today in all you do!
