03 Apr NEXT – Spring Time!
Happy Good Friday Parents!
What a gorgeous day! I’m sure we are all looking forward to a great Easter weekend with family and friends. We would love to see all of you at Vintage on Easter morning for either the 9 or the 11. If you haven’t been to the new gathering space, you’re missing out! The address is 1825 Sharp Point Dr. Fort Collins. Here is a handy map to help you find us».
I wanted to send out a reminder that we do not have NEXT this Sunday night, and to let you know that the next time we meet it will be in our new permanent location at the Vintage building starting on April 12th. We also have changed out meeting time to 5:00-6:30pm. We had a wonderful run at my house, but with the size of the group we are ready to move into a larger space. Pastor Brett and I have been working on making a great atmosphere for students to fill at home and to have a great worship experience. I know they are going to love it! So, have your student invite a few friends for our new gathering in just 9 days!
We have some great events planned this summer! Two of which are Summer Camp and the High School Backpacking Trip. There are details about an upcoming information meeting for the Backpacking Trip below.
Summer camp is going to be July 19-21. I have rented several cabins in the State Forest State Park about 80 miles west for Fort Collins on HWY 14. We have tons of activities planned that include: hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and more. Students will have a chance to hang out by the fire for some late night worship, learn from the Bible, and have some amazing quiet times enjoying God’s creation. Summer Camp is open to all 7th-12th graders (including students going into 7th grade in the fall). Registration will open soon!
We are packing up our gear and heading out into the wilderness for four days in early July. The NEXT Backpacking Trip is open to all high school students (including students going into high school fall of 2015). The trip dates are July 6-9 and we will be hiking near the Never Summer Wilderness on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. Our destinations include three lakes and one summit assent. Not only will each student be challenged physically, but we will be challenging them spiritually as we walk through the scriptures together. To help better understand what this endeavor entails we will be holding an information meeting on Sunday, April 19th at 4pm at Vintage. If your student is interested in going, please attend to get all the details.
Love you all very much and I am honored to pastor your students. Thank you for all your support and prayers. God is doing some great things at NEXT!
