Week 2 at Sharp Point!

Week 2 at Sharp Point!

Vintage Family,

Here we are…week two at our new venue. I was amazed at how well the teams did in our first weekend gatherings. Our volunteers and leaders are pretty amazing! Hearing the sound of our songs filling that place, the sound of the kiddos having a blast in VCK,  left me so emotional. I just kept considering how blessed we are. I am so grateful for our history, and I am so excited about our journey together into His calling on our lives. He is so faithful to lead us where we would be to scared to go on our own!

As we move into our new home, the contractors are finalizing their work, and now we have several areas to furnish and equip. This process requires some significant investment, and I would like to ask you to pray about giving towards this area of need. We believe that both Tithing and the giving of Offerings are sacraments of the Church, and we believe they are sacraments that Jesus very clearly teaches are to be part of our worship language. He is also clear to teach that they should not be done through compulsion.

What does that mean? It means we believe biblical giving should come as a response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, with prayer and joy. It should come from having the opportunity to ask of Him, “how do I partner with this need?”

My desire is that you sit with Him, ask how to come alongside this part of our process, hear His voice on the need, and then bring your special offering to help outfit and equip our space on April 19th. Please mark your offering, “FFE,” on the envelope.

This Sunday is a special day in the church calendar. It is Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is the day where we remember the movement of Jesus into the city of Jerusalem, heading towards the events that would lead to His death. There is phrase the people of Jerusalem offered up when He came into the city, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. (Mark 11:9)”

There is so much beauty in the Passion Season, and I am excited to gather together again and lift our songs, prayers, and hearts to Him. I am excited to see the incredible outpouring of His love and grace on us, and I am believing for healing and for freedom.

If you can make it, join us at 8:20am for Prayer, then at 9 & 11am for our gatherings.

I love being your pastor!

Greg
