VCK Weekly 11/4/13-11/10/13

Hello Vintage Families,

We have been learning about God’s plan to rescue the Israelites and their journey to the promised land. Last Sunday we celebrated the end of our Exodus study by watching The Prince of Egypt!

This week at Vintage City Kids, we are learning about Joshua and the Battle of Jericho and how God is always victorious! Hoorah! You can find our Bible story in Joshua 3 and 6. Joshua’s name means, “The Lord Saves.” One day, God was going to send another leader. This leader was also going to save his people and lead them to a new home. This home was going to be perfect and no one would ever be able to take them from it. Of course, this leader was God’s son Jesus and he was making a way for His people to call heaven home someday.

This Week’s Details

  • Bible Point: God is always victorious! Hoorah! (Military Style)
  • Bible Story: Joshua and the Battle of Jericho
  • Scripture: Joshua 3, 6
  • Memory Verse: Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

5th-6th Grade

Remember if you have a 5th or 6th Grader, we meet separately for a student leadership class on Sunday afternoons at our home (520 Albany Ave. Loveland, CO 80537) from 4-6 p.m. We are going through a leadership book, 99 Thoughts For Student Leaders by Doug Franklin. We spend time dialoging about what it means to be a good leader, what the Bible says about leadership, pray, worship, eat, fellowship and have tons of fun! If you have a 5th or 6th grader who is not involved in our student leadership class, please contact me for more information!
